Anatomy Department

Introduction

History

- Department of anatomy is located in the ground floor of the college building. It comprises of well illuminated museum in the heart of the departmental area displaying soft specimen & ample of hard specimen of human body. To the right of the museum is the well ventilated & illuminated histology laboratory and preparation room. Anatomy department has two demonstration room which is well equipped with audio-visual aid.

- Department of anatomy has taken initiative in body donation program& embalming process, which will be implemented in near future. It has cold storage & formalin storage tank for preservation of cadavers, which is utilized for dissection during first year undergraduate curriculum

- Bring about the competitive environment by conducting quizzes, conference etc. & guiding them to participate the same at district, state & national level.

- Department is well equipped with research laboratory, looking for project & research in histology and gross anatomy

- Embalming of cadaver is near to set in the department by organizing body donation program

- Achieve academic excellence through outstanding teaching programs, efficient administration and quality research

- Nurture a conducive and safe environment, including the use of IT, for the training of staff and students

- Aim towards an even more effective administration by increasing the efficiency of the department’s organizational processes
